Billing Overview

The Billing section provides tools for viewing and managing recurring payment infrastructure including payment links, subscriptions, invoices, and billing plans.

Billing Components

The billing system consists of four main components:

How Billing Works

Plan (defines pricing)
    ↓
Payment Link (distributable URL)
    ↓
Subscription (ongoing relationship)
    ↓
Invoices (periodic bills)
    ↓
Payments (actual transactions)

Plans

Plans define the pricing structure:

• Price amount and currency
• Billing frequency (one-time, monthly, yearly, etc.)
• Trial periods
• Features included

Payment Links

Payment links are shareable URLs that allow customers to:

• Make one-time payments
• Subscribe to recurring plans
• Complete checkout without technical integration

Subscriptions

Subscriptions track ongoing billing relationships:

• Link a customer to a plan
• Define the billing schedule
• Track payment history
• Handle cancellations and changes

Invoices

Invoices are individual billing documents:

• Generated automatically for subscriptions
• Sent to customers for payment
• Track due dates and payment status

Relationship to Payments

Billing components connect to the Payments section:

• Each invoice may generate one or more payments
• Subscription payments appear in the Payments list
• You can navigate from an invoice to its associated payment
